Years ago every young boys dreamed: Becoming a railroad engineer on one of the old steam engines. For 73 year old Gerhard Winkel this has not just been a dream. For 50 years he has driven steam locomotives of the "Harzquer- and Brocken" railroad.
To demonstrate what it needs to make an old steam engine go Gerhard Winkel and his stoker, Guenther Weber, will once again mount the old locomotive. Fascinating images make the past come to life again.
