In North-America logging and lumber-milling is a multi-billion dollar industry with boom and bust cycles, creating cities and then turning them into ghost-towns in the next down-turn.
There are, however places, where logging is still a trade, trees are felled with the ax and a handsaw after careful selection. The logs are moved by horses through difficult terrain and the two bachelors Schmied Sepp and Obexer Luis cook and eat like in the old days.
The two documentaries accompany the two men over the course of a year. The intense scenery will lead you to a time believed long gone.
