The invention of the rubber tire marked the beginning of the decline of the cartwright's trade. Up to the 60'ies of the last century a cartwright's shop was to be found in may villages in Germany. The 81 year old cartwright Friedrich Kaiser from Lower Bavaria once again builds a wooden cartwheel and shows us what is important for his craft. Telling us about his life he enables us a look back into long gone times
